Why Give?
When we truly understand that everything we have is a gift from God, gratitude and generosity will be the result. At Milestone we believe that everything we have belongs to God and He has graciously entrusted us to be good stewards. Whether it is in the form of finances, possessions, abilities or time, we need to be grateful and generous with everything that God has blessed us with. The ministries of Milestone church are solely supported by what is given directly to this church through what is given at our gatherings and what is given online. Giving online can have advantages, but we want to encourage each person who chooses this option to make sure they are giving in a spirit that is pleasing to the Lord. God encourages us to give with the spirit of joy, happiness, or cheerfulness. While there are several ways to give electronically, including automatic withdrawal from checking accounts, savings accounts, debit cards and credit cards, we strongly discourage the use of credit cards if they are not able to pay it back when the statement comes due. Proverbs 22:7 says, “…The borrower is servant to the lender.”
